Two of French master playwright Moliere’s one-act plays played together create a fantastically fun evening in the theatre.  The Rehearsal at Versailles finds Moliere’s own acting company racing the clock to rehearse a play for the king.  Two Precious Maidens Ridiculed is just that:  two young women who think they know everything about gentlemen are shocked to discover they do not.

Vista Faculty Jazz Ensemble

Vista's distinguished ensemble of jazz artist-teachers in concert. Proceeds help send a member of the ensemble, along with a student, to a prestigious international jazz meeting in June. The Faculty Jazz ensemble is comprised of: Katchie Cartwright (voice), Al Gomez (trumpet), Morgan King (saxophone), Aaron Prado (piano), Jim Kalson (electric bass), Zlatan Redzic (double bass), Joe Caploe (percussion), with A-JAM and Northwest Vista alumnus Odie Wallace sitting in on drums, and special guest Beth Johnson on violin.

 

Jack Stone Award for New Music Concert

Admission is free.

First-call New York musicians perform winning compositions by community college students in this unique national awards concert. All proceeds benefit the A-JAM jazz mentorship program. Directed by Beth May.

Vista's exciting concert choir and chamber ensemble, plus outstanding student soloists.  All proceeds benefit the A-JAM jazz mentorship program. Choir directed by Minkyung Lee and orchestra directed by Aaron Prado.

INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY meets WOMEN'S HISTORY. Come join us for this exclusive screening of "The Girls in the Band," the multiple award-winning documentary on women in jazz. "When the world told them they couldn't play, they did it anyway."
