Dan Suttin will have a hands-on workshop for any NVC student who is interested in making geometric 3D paper objects.  This event is being sponsored by NVC Student Activity Funds and is being organized by the Math and Art Departments.  If possible, Laura Schultz will also have some hands-on activities showcasing paper sculpture.

THE TEMPEST
William Shakespeare’s last great play is a lush and magical fantasy set upon a mysterious island where the banished nobleman Prospero has become a master magician.  He creates a terrifying storm at sea – the tempest of the title – causing a shipwreck.  As the survivors arrive on the island, Prospero puts into motion his plans for revenge and redemption with the help of spirits, monsters and, ultimately, the healing powers of love and forgiveness.

March 24 to April 30, 2016 - Fibers of Design - Art Gallery Exhibit

This exhibition focuses on minimalist concepts and the strength of line in design. Through the material of fiber (a thread or filament from which a vegetable tissue, mineral substance, or textile is formed). Artist’s Amada Miller, Delaney Smith, and Meghan Shimeck will display an assortment of 2D, 3D, and interactive works for the students at Northwest Vista and the San Antonio Community to enjoy.
