|What is the Photography program?
Whether your goal is a career in photography or simply enjoyment as a hobbyist, the San Antonio College two-year photography curriculum focuses on your needs. You may take individual courses or the complete program. Although Photography I and II (COMM 13181, 1319) are listed as a "journalism emphasis," they are general courses for hobbyist and career-seeking students. Many universities accept them as electives. Advanced classes, Portraiture, Photographic Perceptual Design, Commercial, News Photography I and II and Practicum of Electronic Media (Photoshop) are for serious hobbyist and career-bound students.
The fundamentals of camera techniques, lighting, and creative composition are emphasized in the basic courses. Advanced classes cover portraiture, illustative, commercial, architectural, industrial, photojournalism, as well as fine arts photography.
|What can I do with this course of study?
You may take individual courses or the complete program that will qualify you in professional photography. By taking other academic courses with the two-year program, you could transfer as a junior to a four-year college photography program.
