NEW - TEAS-V Exam (Test of Essential Academic Skills)

TEAS-V Exam (for Nursing) will again be offered at the CTTC beginning in early October. Keep checking for dates. 

TSI Exam (Replaces the ACCUPLACER test)

The TSI (Texas Success Initiatives) Exam is the newest placement test provided for all prospective students entering Alamo Colleges. 

All students who plan to enroll at Alamo Colleges/CTTC will need to  complete a free online admissions application called ApplyTexas. The website is Once the student information is downloaded into our system from ApplyTexas, then the student will be issued an I.D. number called a Banner number. Students must have a Banner number prior to taking the TSI exam. 


On testing day:

All students must have completed  the Apply Texas application, the GOFAAR and TESTPREP modules located in your ACES portal (Start Here Tab), and have their photo I.D. and Banner ID

The TSI Exam is given at the CTTC at the following times:

Monday-Thursday 8:30am (please arrive 10 minutes early)

Wednesday 3:00pm (please arrive 15 minutes early)


 As of August 26, 2013 the TSI Exam fee will be $32.00 for the full test and $12.00 for each partial section. We accept cash, electronic check, and credit card through the virtual business office.

We do not offer the TSI Exam for other institutions, Alamo Colleges students only.


TABE, TABE Español

These tools assess math and reading literacy in either English or Spanish. Provided through a partnership with Sequin Adult Education.


Technical/Vocational Skills Assessment/Job Readiness Credential Testing  

Occupational skills such as electrical, mechanical, machining, forklift (and many more) can be measured by these computer-based instruments.  This is a certification of work readiness for entry-level work as defined by employers. It is a national, standards-based assessment for entry-level workers to provide a universal, transferable, national standard for work readiness. Provided through a partnership with Workforce Solutions Alamo in Seguin and New Braunfels.
