Questionmark Perception's authoring system allows you to easily create, modify and delete questions and assessments. You can author questions and assessments using a Window-based program or using a browser and a server-based system.

Both authoring environments allow you to set up your questions with Questionmark Perception's Question Manager module and build quizzes, tests and surveys with Questionmark Perception's Assessment Manager.

Windows-based authoring requires that software be installed on your PC and provides a powerful environment for creating simple and complex questions and assessments. To create questions and to create schedules, you need to be on your same PC.

All instructors using questionmark are called administrators. Perception's administration system allows you to easily maintain information about participants (people who answer questions), and assessment schedules.

You would need to email your username and the group or class (i.e., SAC-ENGL1301-090) information to Amita Mahajan at amahajan@alamo.edu. Once the account is created, you will be notified via email.

All instructors are administrators. They will log on to http://questionmarkvm.alamo.edu/em4/login.asp. To login, new accounts will need to use the ACES ID and the default ACES password (first 2 letters of your last name in upper case and last 6 of your SSN)

he instructors create the userid's and passwords for students, when they add and schedule their students to take the test. Students will log on to http://questionmarkvm.alamo.edu/q4/perception.dll.

Questionmark Perception for Web allows you to access securely, and use, eleven pre-defined reports. Filters for dates, date ranges, participant names, special (demographic) fields, topics, and assessments, can be applied so that you view the information you need.

Perception for Web's browser-based reporting, Enterprise Reporter, requires a level 5 browser or above such as Internet Explorer version 5 or higher or Netscape Communicator version 6 or higher.
