Tammy Kothe-Ramsey - Brief Biography

Student of the MonthTammy Kothe-Ramsey is the recipient of the January 2010 La Prensa Foundation Student of the Month Scholarship and will receive an award of $500 from the La Prensa Foundation founded by Amelia “Millie” and Tino Duran. Tammy is currently enrolled for fourteen semester hours and has a cumulative GPA of 3.87.  Tammy is also a recipient of the President’s Honors.

Ms. Kothe-Ramsey is a first generation college student who returned after a 21 year break to pursue Psychology.  Her career goal is to pursue her own practice in clinical and forensic psychology and plans to transfer to Texas State upon graduating from SAC.

Ms. Kothe-Ramsey is currently President of the Psychology Club, Vice President of Student Government.  She is also a participant in the Student Leadership Institute Tier II and a graduate of Tier I.  Ms. Kothe-Ramsey is currently involved with a charter initiative of Psi Beta (a National Honor Society in Psychology for Community and Junior Colleges) and serves as the Treasurer. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

With all that she is also a wife of 6 years and proud mother of 3 children.  Ms. Kothe-Ramsey owns South Texas Computer Consulting, which is an IT consulting firm, and is also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.

She is an active member of All Believer’s Chapel and enjoys volunteering with many different organizations.
