Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-off.  Sponsored by Mexican American Studies.  Register to Vote, sign-up for El Grito contest and jam to music by Mexican Step-Grandfather!  

A grito is the customary battle cry or shout that was a call for independence in Mexico from Spain. Mexican Independence Day is celebrated on Sept. 16.
