The College Connection office at San Antonio College will hold Financial Aid Saturdays, the first Saturday of each month, to assist current and potential college students with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financial assistance in the form of grants, scholarship, and loans are available to help students pay for college. Completing the FAFSA online as early and accurately as possible is the key.

The Fall 2013 Processing Guarantee Date for financial aid for the Alamo Colleges is May 1, 2013.

• Students must complete the Apply Texas application before submitting the FAFSA.
• Students, parents, and spouses must complete their 2012 income taxes prior to submitting the FAFSA.

The Alamo Colleges recommends that the IRS Data Retrieval Too be used when submitting the FAFSA application. Utilizing the IRS Data Retrieval Tool will expedite the verification process. To use the tool, students must file their 2012 income taxes two weeks prior to filling to the FAFSA

In order to ensure that your financial aid is processed in time to pay for your classes, you must meet the Fall 2013 Processing Guarantee Date of May 1.
Students submitting documentation after Processing Guarantee Dates must be prepared to either: 

  • pay their tuition bill in full or 

  • enter into the Alamo Colleges’ payment plan with the Bursar’s Office.
