America Recycles Day at…

Palo Alto College will host free events in celebration of America Recycles Day on Friday, Nov. 15, to encourage students and the general public to help San Antonio create a more Earth-friendly environment.

America Recycles Day at PAC

Add to Calendar The Nov. 15 activities will be located in the Student Center Annex. All activities are free and open to the public.

9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
· City of San Antonio Recycle Information Table
· Continuous screenings of environmental films, courtesy of Club Earth
· Recycled Reading Magazine Swap: Bring One, Take One
· DIY Bird Feeders
· Recycle Challenge Game, courtesy of Student Government Association

11:30 a.m. to noon
· Recycling Information Session led by Max Ruiz of Waste Management

Noon to 1 p.m.
· Recycled Fashion Show, courtesy of Goodwill Industries of San Antonio and students in COMM 2330: Intro to Public Relations

In the last five years, Palo Alto College has recycled more than 250,000 pounds of paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, and glass through its campus-wide recycling program.
