Second Annual Purple Run 5K Supports Domestic Violence Awareness

Give hope to the families affected by domestic violence. Proceeds from the run help provide the necessary tools for providing victims of family violence with emergency shelter, transitional housing, education, effective parenting education, and early intervention with children and youth. Open to individuals, families, teams and dogs! Register now and run for a cause at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex, 200 Noblewood Drive. Registration fee is $30 for individuals, $20 for children 10-12 years, FREE for children ages 9 and under, $8 for dogs and $125 for a team of five.
This event is a chip-timed 5K Race. Erica Gonzaba will be performing the national anthem, followed by a balloon release. A Wall of Honor will show support of loved ones who have been affected by domestic violence. There will be goodie bags, food trucks and activities for kids!
