EXPLORE PARIS: CITY OF LOVE AND LIGHT

 

 

Students will be immersed in world-renowned museums, architecture and historic monuments. Our exploration will include the Louvre and D'Orsay museums. We will also explore architectural feats - Norte Dame, Arc de Triomphe and the iconic Eiffel Tower! Paris offers discovery in culture and design for students to promote their personal growth, social values and aesthetics.

COURSES:

Introduction to Human Sexuality (PSYC 2306) and Art Appreciation (ARTS 1301)

 


ACADEMIC INFORMATION: 

Students are required to take two courses and can earn up to six credit hours upon successful completion of the program. 

 

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:    

 

2.0 GPA and 12 cumulative academic credits. Alamo Colleges expects study abroad participants to perform academically at standards commensurate with on-campus performance. This includes attending class, taking exams, reading required materials, completing homework, etc. If students' GPA drops below a 2.0 before they study abroad, they will not be allowed to participate in the program.


FACULTY LEADER: 

Professor Suzanna Borawski will be the primary lead faculty for Introduction to Human Sexuality (PSYC 2306). Ms. Borawski is a Professor at San Antonio College and has eighteen years teaching experience. She has traveled throughout Europe and has also participated in study abroad programs in Mexico. Professor Borawski led the Paris, France study abroad in summer 2017.  Contact: sborawski@alamo.edu 

Professor Monica Camero will be the co-leader and lead faculty for Art Appreciation (ARTS 1301). Ms. Camero  is an instructor at Northeast Lakeview and has nineteen years of teaching experience. She has traveled to Paris, France on several occasions. Her international travels have included various other countries in Europe and Asia. Professor Camero led the Paris, France study abroad in summer 2017.  Contact: mcamero@alamo.edu


PROGRAM FEE: 

*$4,500 Includes airfare, lodging, in-country transportation, some meals, entrance fees. This does NOT include passport fees, visa fees, books, materials, tuition and spending money. Financial aid is available. Summer Momentum Program may be applied towards tuition if applicable.

Once students are accepted into the program, they will follow the scheduled payments:

January 19, 2018 .................................. $1,266

February 9, 2018 ................................. $1,267

March 2, 2018 .................................... $1,267

Failure to pay by the scheduled deadlines will result in cancellation of participation in the selected Study Abroad program.
