Mission Statement
The mission of The Alamo Colleges - Internal Audit (District) Department of Internal Audit is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve District operations. The Internal Audit Department will help the District accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, operational, and governance processes.
Purpose
The purpose of the Department of Internal Audit is to assist the Audit, Budget & Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor and District Management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by furnishing them with analyses, appraisals, recommendations, counsel, and information concerning the activities reviewed, and by promoting effective control at a reasonable cost.
