As a member of the CCHI consortium, Alamo Colleges is laying the groundwork for the creation of innovative educational best practices. The first best practice entails awarding military service members and veterans college credits for their training and experience. Next, is offering for delivery two fast track AAS degrees: an AAS degree in Health Information Technology with three tracks: Health Management Medical Laboratory Technician Specialty, Health Management Occupational Therapy Assistant Specialty, and Health Management Radiography Technologist Specialty and an AAS degree in Nursing through the Military to Registered Nurse (RN) Career Mobility Track program.
The target date for offering the two programs is the 2013 spring semester. San Antonio College will offer the Military to RN Career Mobility Track program.  St. Philip’s College will offer the AAS degree in Health Information Technology with three tracks.
