Associate of Arts in Teaching
The Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree is a Texas Higher Education Coordinator Board-approved collegiate degree program consisting of lower-division courses intended for transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification. These A.A.T. degree programs are only offered by Texas public community colleges like Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) and are fully transferable to any Texas public university offering baccalaureate degree programs leading to initial teacher certification.
NLC offers A.A.T. degrees in the area you are pursuing your teaching certification. Visit the links below for courses required to complete your A.A.T.

Transferring
NLC encourages its students to carefully examine requirements at the transfer university. Requirements vary from institution to institution and can change from one year to the next, so be sure to check with the college department, the transfer center, or the university to which you plan to transfer for additional information.
