Considering Palo Alto College?

The Welcome Center is your first stop and “link for success.” If you have questions about any aspect of the registration process, call the center at 486-3100, or visit Palomino Center 103. The information provided below will assist you in registering or applying for Palo Alto College.

First Time Student

A first time student is a student that has not attended college or has not attended Palo Alto College. First time student’s must apply for admissions at, submit an official transcript, and take the TSI Test. Visit our How to Apply web page for more information.

Current Student

A current student does not have to re-apply for admissions or take the TSI test. Current students may have to re-apply for Financial Aid depending on the academic year and register for classes. Visit the Financial Assistance and the Register for Classes web page for more information.

Returning Student

Students returning to PAC after a year must re-apply for admissions at

New Student Orientation

Returning students who have been out of Alamo Colleges for more than a year, First Time In College students, and Transfer students will receive information about valuable campus resources at the New Student Orientations (NSO). View NSO Dates »

Dual Credit

High school students who meet the requirements may enroll in college courses while attending high school and receive credit toward high school graduation and as college credit. For more Information, visit Dual Credit »

Veteran Students

Palo Alto College participates in educational programs provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This office assists eligible veterans to obtain financial assistance and information on their benefits.
