SAC Student Life offers many Extramurals such as baseball
and soccer, and Intramurals sports each week. The intramurals range
from sporting events, to video games and board games.
All SAC
Students are eligible to participate in the Recreation Sports Intramurals Program.

to participate.

BASEBALL
Men's baseball
Coach Sam Gallegos

Sam grew up in
Jourdanton, Texas, and played baseball at Ranger Junior College in North
Texas. He graduated from Southwest
Texas University (Texas State) in 2004.
He has coached for six years in the public school system and two years
at the college level.
SOCCER
Men's soccer
Coach Richard Ramirez

Richard was born in Mexico and moved to San Antonio when he
was 15. He played
for St. Mary's University soccer team from 1973-1975. After graduating from St. Mary's with a degree in Business, he played First Division with the
International team. Her was
nominated to the International Allstars SASA First Division Team in 1981. He played with the SASA Napoles First
Division Team and they were League Cup Champs in 1982. He was also nominated to an Allstars
SASA team in 1990 and 1991 and they were Division Champs in 1993. He traveled to Europe
with the San Antonio First Division International Amateur team and played
exhibition games in England and Germany.
He has coached youth teams for the Alamo Soccer Association and men's
and coed teams for the San Antonio Soccer Association. Sam has been teaching in the public
school system for the past 32 years, and has coached the girls and boys soccer for the past eight years at the high school level. He is currently Assistant Varsity Coach for the boy's soccer team at Edison High School.
