- The Office of Technology Services (OTS) offers free media equipment loans to actively enrolled SAC students who meet eligibility requirements set forth by the Office of Technology Services (OTS) Services at San Antonio College.
- Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance, although we recommend a minimum of 48 hours. Equipment loans are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure availability of equipment, you should make your request as early as possible.
- Some equipment may require training for first-time borrowers; Training will be provided at the time of checkout.
- During checkout, the borrower will complete an Off-Campus Property Request Form and provide the Office of Technology Services two forms of valid photo identification. Acceptable forms of identification include, but are not limited to, current SAC student ID, driver's or state ID, military ID, etc. Copies of both identifications and forms will be kept on file. Verification of student status will be done at this time.
- In the event that the equipment is unavailable to check out, the borrower will be placed on the waiting list and contacted when the item is returned. After the borrower has been contacted, they will have until the close of business the following day to come into the Office of Technology Services to check out the reserved item.
- If borrower does not come in by the close of business the following day, the Office of Technology Services will assume that they no longer need the equipment and will move to the next person on the waiting list.
- In the event that a borrower was contacted and did not check out the item but still needs the item, that student should come into the Office of Technology Services to see if the item is available. If a waiting list still exists, that student will be placed at the bottom of that list. No exceptions.
- It is the sole responsibility of the borrower to return items on-time as outlined in the Loan Agreement. Overdue equipment will incur late fee charges to be paid by the user.

- Borrower assumes full responsibility for all equipment (including software) in their possession. In the even of theft, loss, or damage to San Antonio College Property, the borrower is liable for all replacement costs. Any equipment outstanding 14 days past the due date will be considered lost, and the borrower will be held financially responsible for the equipment.
- Borrower must file a Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Equipment Report immediately with the Office of Technology Services, if any of the equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen.
Note:Stolen equipment must also be reported within 14 days of the theft by filing theft reports with the applicable department/s listed below:

A case number or copy of each above report must be submitted immediately to the Office of Technology Services.
- Upon return of equipment, the Office of Technology Staff will verify that all equipment and accessories are returned in good working condition and not damaged or missing.
- Failure to adhere to the conditions of use can result in the loss of equipment check-out privileges.
