Teaching Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is to present material at the university level that is both challenging and can be understood. I love to encourage curiosity in students. Also, I want to foster a sense of awe for nature and the world around you that will cause a respect for all and the earth in which we live.

Why I became a Biologist:

The intricacies of life at both the microscopic and whole level fascinates me. Early in high school I fell in love with human anatomy and physiology and decided to pursue a field in science, and have enjoyed learning ever since. I have a passion to explain biology in a way that can be understood by students.

Recommendations for student success in my courses:

Attendance, good notes and participation in class can help achieve success. I am her to serve as a mentor to students in their studies of biology. If there are any question, please do not hesitate to meet with me.
