It is my intent to help students make connections between the biological concepts we study in class and their own lives. This is necessary in order to provide a solid academic foundation. It is my goal to provide students with the tools and mindset that will help them be successful in subsequent courses.
I love science and took a particular liking to insects and animals at a rather early age. Biology is an ever-changing field and never gets stagnant. From the lab to the field, there is always something new to observe or learn about.
In order to be successful in my class, students should take advantage of all the resources available to them. Read the text, download the lectures, form study groups with other members of the class and ask questions.
I enjoy teaching Biology at SAC because I always get a wide range of students who are motivated and willing to learn.
