Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarships 2015/2016

The 2015-2016 academic year scholarship application is now open.  The priority deadline is April 5, 2015

One Alamo Colleges Foundation application per academic year.  If you submitted a Foudation scholarship application any time in 2014, you must re-apply beginning JANUARY  12, 2015 to be considered for Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 scholarships.    

[If you miss the Priority Deadline of April 5, 2015, a second deadline is September 15, 2015 is available to be considered for any additional Foundation scholarship funds that may become available for 2015/2016.]

The Alamo Colleges Foundation offers eligible students an opportunity to be considered for numerous Internal Alamo Colleges Scholarships.  (View a list of possible Internal Scholarships)

HELPFUL INFO:       

FAFSA!  

 As an eligibility requirement for Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarships, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.gov.  

 Essays!    

 Type your essays in a WORD document in order to run spell check and word count. Then copy and paste the essays into the scholarship application.   

You can also visit the SAC Writing Center in Gonzales Hall, Room 203 to ensure your essay is perfect!

Academic Departmental Scholarships! 

Some SAC academic departments also administer their own scholarship programs and therefore have separate applications.   

Check with the various SAC departments to learn of scholarships you may be eligible for and obtain an application. (Department scholarships link)

These are Non-Alamo Colleges scholarships which are available to students attending any college.
