NLC Named Best Educational Facility

Northeast Lakeview College was recognized by the Live Oak Economic Development Corporation as the Best Educational Facility in the northeast San Antonio/Bexar County region.

Northeast Lakeview College launched the Adopt-a-School initiative in Fall 2014. The initiative brings the college experience to students (from pre-K to high school). The pathway project uses structured programming throughout the year to get students informed and engaged about college. Through targeted strategies with local school districts, Northeast Lakeview College aims to make students more successful as they transition to college level coursework.
 

NLC Adopts Camelot and Miller’s Point Elementary Schools for 2016-2017 school year

During the 2016-2017 school year, Northeast Lakeview College partnered with two local elementary schools, Camelot (Northeast ISD) and Miller’s Point (Judson ISD) as part of its continued pathways approach to college. Through targeted programming, including campus visits, career presentations, leadership programs, and parent discussions – more than 550 students were impacted district-wide. Additionally, through presentations and discussions, more than 100 parents learned more about the importance of college.

Adopt-a-School Partnership (2015-2016)

 NLC adopted Corbett Junior High School, Schertz Elementary, and Rose Garden Elementary and during the next academic year, provided mentoring to students at each of the three schools.


Inaugural Adopt-a-School Partnership (2014-2015)

Northeast Lakeview College partnered with Judson ISD for the 2014-2015 academic year to launch the Adopt-a-School initiative. NLC adopted Salinas Elementary, Rose Garden Elementary, and Kirby Middle School and directly impacted more than 2,000 students.
