Scholarships

The Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarship Office at SAC offers eligible students a one-time per academic year on-line application to be considered for numerous Internal Alamo Colleges Scholarships.  (Click link to view list of Internal Scholarships.)

Starting January 14, 2013 you can click on    to complete the Alamo Colleges Foundation online application.  (Priority deadline is April 1, 2013) 

 A Second Deadline to be considered for any additional scholarships that may become available for 2013-2014 is SEPTEMBER 15th, 2013.

Advice, tips, and resources for submitting an effective scholarship application: 

•  You must meet the General Eligibility requirements. (click link) 

• You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)   (click link)

• Tip:  Type your essays in MS Word in order to run spell check and word count.  Then copy and paste the essays into the scholarship application.

SAC students have the opportunity to apply for:

•  Internal Scholarships (link) -- these are Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarships which are only available to students attending one of the Alamo Colleges. 

   

• Academic Department Scholarships -- some SAC academic departments also administer their own scholarship programs and therefore have separate applications.  

• Check with the department of your major to learn of scholarships you may be eligible for and to obtain an application. 

•  External Scholarships -- these are Non-Alamo Colleges scholarships which are available to students attending any college.
