Student Conquers Tassel Challenge

Miclynn Mauricio, at student at Northeast Lakeview College, conquered the Tassel Challenge at the President’s Picnic. Guessing 213 tassels, Miclynn got the closest to the correct number of 212 tassels in a box.

The Tassel Challenge was one of several games played at the kick-off event for the Capture Your Future Campaign, a graduation initiative NLC launched to create awareness for the uses and importance of Associate Degrees and encourage students to pursue and graduate with an Associate’s. As the winner, Miclynn received a gift basket courtesy of the public relations office.

The Capture Your Future online campaign runs February 13 – February 28, 2012. The online contest offers the opportunity to win one of four prizes (valued at $85 or higher), including a laptop computer and flat panel television. For complete details and contest rules, visit alamo.edu/nlc/capture
