Alumni Return to Score Scholarship Applications

Northeast Lakeview College hosted its 3rd annual Scholarship Judging on May 4 with 23 community leaders and 20 faculty and staff participating. The Judges also included four NLC alumni who have transferred to local universities, one who is preparing to enter graduate school. The Judges each reviewed 15 applications and then, in pairs of a community member and an NLC employee, ranked final scores for all 325 applicants. The event, modeled after a successful program at Red Rocks Community College, allows for community leaders to learn about NLC students and meet and work with NLC faculty and staff in making important decisions about scholarship applicants.
