Apply Now For $2,500 T-STEM Scholarships For Fall 2012

Texas STEM Challenge Scholarships of up to $2,500 per year will be awarded for the Fall 2012 semester to eligible current and incoming Alamo Colleges students with a declared major in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) program, including specific Allied Health majors.

There are no income qualifications. To be eligible, you must also:
• Submit a scholarship application at 
• Submit an official high school transcript to the T-STEM liaison
• Have minimum GPA of 3.0 in high school math and science courses
• Agree to complete 30 hours in 2012-2012 (fall, spring and summer)
• Complete 80% of coursework per semester
• Register with the Selective Service System if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 25. Register at
· Do not reapply– if you completed an Alamo College scholarship application during the 2012 Spring semester and meet eligibility, your application will be considered

  • The Ranger Special Edition Issue

    The staff of The Ranger/The Ranger Online, student newspaper at San Antonio College, has produced a special edition with information on the Alamo Colleges trustee election. The edition, which hit stands April 25, also pays tribute to The Ranger's 90th anniversary. The election section includes photos and interviews with the 11 candidates for the four open trustee positions, an editorial encouraging voting, and a map showing the four districts up for election. The editorial stresses the importance of voters in shaping the direction of the Alamo Colleges. Early voting starts April 25, and the election is May 7. Read More >
  • Alamo Colleges Bond Sale Notice

    Alamo Community College District (“Alamo Colleges”, “the District”) is currently planning to access the capital markets the week of May 23rd, 2016. The District anticipates selling approximately $70 million Limited Tax Refunding Bonds Series 2016 via negotiated sale. The final size and structure of the transaction has not yet been determined and is subject to change. The District has engaged Citigroup Global Markets Inc. as book-running senior manager on the transaction. Read More >

    At a special meeting on March 28, the Alamo Colleges’Board of Trustees selected Emmanuel Nyong as the new student trustee.
