Student of the Month - July

Kenneth Wederski
Major: Business
GPA: 3.20
Northeast Lakeview College

Kenneth Wederski is the recipient of the Juy 2012 La Prensa Foundation Student of the Month Scholarship and will receive an award of $500 from the La Prensa Foundation founded by Millie and Tino Duran.
Kenneth Wederski is a non-traditional student who began his college career at Northeast Lakeview College in Spring 2011. He has completed 15 hours and holds a 3.20 GPA. He decided that going to college was important because getting a college degree would be the best thing to help him support his family.
Mr. Wederski is captain of the extramural basketball team at Northeast Lakeview College and works full-time at Office Max. Kenneth has two young children (3 year old Sarai and 4 year old Kenneth). One of his nominators said “Ken has natural leadership qualities on and off the court and is outstanding in the classroom and is an excellent student.”
He credits his wife, Jeanae, for her continued support and encouragement as he continues his education. Kenneth plans to complete his Associate of Arts with a concentration in Business in Summer 2013 and transfer to a local university to complete his Bachelor’s of Business Administration. His career goal is to work in marketing or advertising for a major athletic clothing or shoe company .

Please help me in congratulating Kenneth Wederski as the Alamo Colleges – La Prensa Foundation
