Apply Now for a T-STEM Scholarship

Applications are being accepted now for Texas STEM Challenge scholarships of up to $1,500 for the spring and summer 2013 semesters. Fall 2012 Alamo Colleges' students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better and a declared major in biological or physical science, computer and information sciences, mathematics, statistics, engineering or selected allied health degrees are eligible to apply.

To qualify you must submit a scholarship application by email between January 14 and February 22. The application may be found at https://dl.dropbox.com/u/82576490/alamo%20college%20tstem%20application.doc and should be emailed to tjones118@alamo.edu. You must also:

• Submit an official high school transcript to the T-STEM liaison* with a minimum combined GPA of 3.0 in math and science courses

• Agree to complete 30 hours before fall 2013 (fall 2012 coursework is counted as part of the 30 hours)

• Complete 80% of coursework per semester

• Register for the Selective Services System if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 25: https://www.sss.gov/RegVer/wfRegistration.aspx
