Alamo Colleges Partners with Connect2Compete To Offer Affordable Internet Service

Thanks to a new partnership between the Alamo Colleges and Connect2Compete, a national nonprofit, low-cost computers and free or low cost Internet service are available now for Alamo Colleges' students and employees, along with training on how to effectively and safely use the Internet. Depending on home location, students and employees may qualify for fast, free service or a discounted, high-speed Internet data plan.

Connect2Compete (C2C) is a national nonprofit initiative, aiming to bring students and families online by providing fast free service or discounted high-speed Internet, low-cost refurbished computers and free digital literacy training to students nationwide.

    The staff of The Ranger/The Ranger Online, student newspaper at San Antonio College, has produced a special edition with information on the Alamo Colleges trustee election. The edition, which hit stands April 25, also pays tribute to The Ranger's 90th anniversary. The election section includes photos and interviews with the 11 candidates for the four open trustee positions, an editorial encouraging voting, and a map showing the four districts up for election. The editorial stresses the importance of voters in shaping the direction of the Alamo Colleges. Early voting starts April 25, and the election is May 7. Read More >
  • Alamo Colleges Bond Sale Notice

    Alamo Community College District (“Alamo Colleges”, “the District”) is currently planning to access the capital markets the week of May 23rd, 2016. The District anticipates selling approximately $70 million Limited Tax Refunding Bonds Series 2016 via negotiated sale. The final size and structure of the transaction has not yet been determined and is subject to change. The District has engaged Citigroup Global Markets Inc. as book-running senior manager on the transaction. Read More >

    At a special meeting on March 28, the Alamo Colleges’Board of Trustees selected Emmanuel Nyong as the new student trustee.
