Communications Design Students Win Awards

SAC students enrolled in Communications Design recently participated in the American Advertising Federation of San Antonio American Advertising competition where 24 agencies presented their creative work. Several students from SAC won awards at the event.  

Erin Yurick won a Special Judges Award and a Gold award for Self-Promotion (package design). Beth Sturzbecher won a Silver award for a Self-Promotional poster titled “Time of My Life” and a Bronze for her “Tweed” Ad campaign. Orlando Cantu won a Bronze for his magazine spread and illustration titled “How to Hipster Like a Pro.” Rachel McAlpin won a Bronze for his San Antonio Botanical Gardens gala invitation titled “Splendor in the Gardens.”  

The Gold and Special Judges Awardee will go on to compete at the state level.
