Students Compete at Cyber Defense Competition
students competed recently in the Collegiate Cyber Defense regional qualifier.
During the competition, students maintain a network and the services
that run to it, complete business requirements known as injects and defend the
network against a “red team” that actively attacks/hacks. CCDS teams are
comprised of up to eight students and may include two graduate students. Most
schools that compete in the qualifier are four-year universities.
From the original 22 team registered, eight will advance to the
Regional Finals, among them, San Antonio College.
They will compete this weekend at Texas A&M – San Antonio for an
opportunity to represent the Southwest Region at the National Collegiate Cyber
Defense Competition on April 25-27.
