Stanley Receives Advisor of the Year Award

The Loftin Student Center Cafeteria was decked out like the Oscars this Wednesday as the Office of Student Life recognized the top student in each organization and the advisor of the year.  

The Advisor of the Year Award was given to G. Roger Stanley, Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Nu Chapter Advisor. He is also an associate professor in the department of natural sciences.  

Dr. Robert Zeigler said Stanley is a special person. Through his encouragement (Dr. Zeigler’s) Stanley took the job as the advisor for PTK.  

“It’s a big job and it takes a lot of time,” said Zeigler.  

He continued by saying, Stanley willingly did this and has done an exemplary job. Stanley has shown he is committed, puts effort in and has put a lot of emotional capital in making PTK work.  

Stanley said he is having a good time and was honored to receive the award.  

“It was well deserved,” said Zeigler. “You are a great example to the rest for all of us.”
