New Student Orientation

Calling all first time in college students!

New this fall, all first time in college students are required to attend a New Student Orientation  (NSO) session before classes begin.

SAC will host 30+ New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions throughout the summer. At the completion of the program, students will be cleared to register for fall courses!

Several steps must be completed before attending NSO:

       ApplyTexas Application

Submit Transcripts & Proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination (if under age 22)

Complete Alamo Enroll modules (go FAARR)

Take TSI Placement Test, if applicable.

       Complete Post-Assessment Advising, if applicable.

The NSO program will include:

       Preparing for Your Academic Journey

       Beyond the Classroom: Student Engagement

       Campus Resource Fair

       Campus Tour

       Group Advising

Students are required to stay for the entire length of the session they choose to register to attend. Space is limited for each session, so registering early will help ensure your spot, and let you get the registration process finished sooner.

There are some evening and Saturday sessions available to accommodate students, but most sessions are being held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All sessions will begin in the Loftin Student Center. Visitor parking on campus is limited. Parking is also available on streets near campus.

To RSVP for a session, go to alamo.edu/sac/orientation/.
