Northeast Lakeview College hosted a New Student Convocation on August 21 to welcome students attending the college for the first time.  New Student Convocation is designed to highlight programs and services, motivate students to make a successful transition to college life.  The event concluded with a Student Pledge of Commitment and a Parent Pledge: Support to Complete.

“Getting students to realize the importance of making a commitment to their education from the beginning is our goal here”, says Dr. Craig Follins, Northeast Lakeview College president.  “The earlier we can get students involved, the smoother their education journey will be.”

Participants also participated in completion and graduation-related activities during the event including,  picturing themselves as graduates” by wearing a cap and gown and taking a picture in a photo booth and receiving a “passport” that will be stamped at various stages along their educational journey at Northeast Lakeview College.
