Library Instruction Classes

Please use this form to request library and research skills instruction for your class. Most of the time, classes come to the library's instruction classroom (NLIB 124), but we can come to your classroom if it's more appropriate to student learning. If you are requesting multiple sections of the same course, please write that in the "Notes" field. After submitting the form, you should hear back from us by email to confirm your request within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. If you do not hear from us by then, please contact us at 210.486.5388 to confirm your request.

In order to accomodate your request and provide you and your students with the most effective instruction tailored to your course and assignment objectives, please follow these guidelines:

    • Give us at least a week's notice
    • Schedule instruction on a day when you are able to be present
    • Provide us with alternate dates/times
    • Let us know in advance if you have students with special needs who might need accommodation
    • Copy/paste the research assignment (as students see it, not just a description) you're giving students or email it to nlc-reference@alamo.edu. Emailing the syllabus is helpful, as well.
