We offer an Associates of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.)
which is fully transferable to all public, four-year institutions in Texas.
Earn your first 60 credits with us, graduate and transfer to the university of your
choice to complete your teacher education program.

Why NLC?
NLC offers all of the courses you need to
complete your A.A.T. degree during convenient days and times including evening,
weekend and online options. As an NLC student, you are also eligible to
register for courses at all of the Alamo Colleges.

How to Apply
Students interested in pursuing an A.A.T.
degree are encouraged to complete the application process well before
registration begins for the term they plan to attend NLC for the
first time. Below is a quick checklist of items you’ll need to follow and
submit in order to apply for admission to the 2+2 Program.
Visit the Alamo Colleges' Admissions web page for the complete list of steps
with links to documentation forms and NLC contact information as exemptions or
substitutions may apply.
- Submit the ApplyTexas two-year college admission
application online
- Submit an official transcript or official GED
test scores
- Meet the placement requirements or take mandatory placement
tests
- Check your email a few days after applying for next steps
- Schedule an advising session
- Submit Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination

NLC Education Club
Purpose:
To give Education Majors and those that are interested in Education a place to meet and discuss pressing issues and
topics in the education field.
