Parking Permits & Campus Access Fee

Beginning in Fall 2013, all Alamo Colleges' students and employees will pay a Campus Access Fee in order to park at any of the Alamo Colleges' campuses, off-site locations or district offices.

For employees, information on the Campus Access Fee is available on Alamo Share.

For students, the fee of $25 per semester is included when they pay their tuition and fees each semester, with the maximum fee paid not to exceed $50 per year. Once students pay their tuition and fees for the semester, they can get up to two parking decals or a VIA bus pass at no extra charge. The parking decal(s) allows students to park in any of the Alamo Colleges' surface parking lots designated as "Student Parking."

Students must have a parking decal on their vehicle to park at any Alamo Colleges' location. However, a parking decal does not guarantee a parking space.

For students at Northwest Vista College, the parking decal allows them to park in the parking garages on campus. However, an additional $1 per use will be charged for parking in the parking garage.

To learn more about parking rules and how to order your decal online, click here.

  • No Parking SignParking tickets will be given and cars could be towed if they do not have tags or are parked illegally.
  • Anyone parked on any part of the road adjacent to Loop 1604 will be towed.
  • Anyone parked on the grassy roads will be towed.
  • Anyone parked blocking the flow of traffic will be towed.
  • Fees/fines may be paid at the Business Office in the Cypress Campus Center.

Parking and Traffic Citation Appeals

Parking Violation Notices (campus parking and traffic citations) may be appealed within ten (10) working/school days from date of the citation by filing a "Citation Appeal Form (Download)" with the Northwest Vista College Parking and Traffic Appeals Committee. The appeal must be submitted on a Campus Citation Appeal form and sent by email to nvc-citationappeal@alamo.edu. Allow ten (10) business days for appeal processing. If notification of appeal disposition is not received by the 10th business day, it is the appealer’s responsibility for contacting the Northwest Vista College Parking and Traffic Appeals Committee nvc-citationappeal@alamo.edu to inquire on status of appealed citation.

Each campus within the Alamo Colleges shall be responsible for implementing and maintaining a Parking and Traffic Appeals Committee to afford Due Process for any person receiving a Parking Violation Notice (campus citation), which procedure shall be in printed form and be made available to all Employees and Students at their campus.
