HOW DO I PROVE I AM EXEMPT FROM TSI?

You may be exempt based on SAT / ACT / TAKS Exit Level / STAAR EOC English III and / Or STAAR EOC Algebra II test scores within 5 years.

If using with ACT or SAT, an official score report must be sent from the Testing Agency. (The TAKS Exit Level and STAAR test scores should be on your high school transcript).

Please visit our main homepage at Testing Center and see chart to view the qualifying exempting test scores.

IF I FAIL A PORTION OF THE TEST, DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE ENTIRE TEST AGAIN?

The TSI Assessment is not based on a pass or fail, rather it provides you placement into college level courses or developmental courses.  The developmental courses are intended to help you be successful at the college level.

You are not required to re-test. However, if you want to retake the test, you are welcome to take any portion.  It is recommended to complete some form of test prep or intervention to help improve your current scores.
