A student can provide an official transcript from the high school where SAT/ACT/TAKS scores within 5 years are recorded. If you previously attended another college/university and were exempt, provide those official transcripts showing your exemption.
The TSI Assessment is not based on a pass or fail, rather it provides you placement into college level courses or developmental courses. The developmental courses are intended to help you be successful at the college level.
You are not required to re-test. However, if you want to retake the test, you are welcome to take any portion. It is recommended to complete some form of test prep or intervention to help improve your current scores.
If you have not been determined to be "exempt", you are required to complete the TSI Assessment as an admissions requirement.
Please review our TSI page for current exemption rules.
