Student Story: Clarissa

Helping others with speech problems is a future goal of Clarissa Briseno. The Northwest Vista College student had speech difficulties when she was younger.

Now she’s inspired to get her associate and bachelor’s degrees to one day purse a career as a speech therapist.  Her goal is to transfer to Texas State University and major in communications.

Clarissa is also the first among her siblings to attend college; and she’s glad she chose NVC as her first stop.

“This is a good transition for me. It helps me to understand how college works; and an associate degree puts me one step ahead of the game.”
