Student Story: Donna

Donna Garza, 21, started attending college with the goal of becoming a nurse.  Since then she has realized that becoming a veterinary technician would be her dream job.

Although she changed her major, she has maintained her focus on one goal - getting an associate degree.

“For me having that associate degree shows I completed one step in my education.”

Donna says that attending a two-year college also feels right and more welcoming than being at a large university. When she visited a university, she felt lost and uncomfortable.

“NVC has a beautiful campus and it’s affordable. There are always things to do here and the teachers are great.”
