Importance of Student Organizations
Northwest Vista College recognizes the importance of organized student organizations as an integral component of the total educational experience of the student. NVC students have the opportunity for membership in cultural, recreational, religious, governance, honor, social, political, and service organizations. Student organizations offer opportunities to enhance students academic and social life on campus!
RSO INVOLVEMENT FAIR: FEBRUARY 3 & 4, 11a-2p, CCC-121/122
REGISTRATION APPLICATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26
To Start or Maintain a Registered Student Organization (RSO):
1. Advisors and Officers complete the Registered Student Organization (RSO) Training, print their certificate, and give it to the club president
2. The club president submits the RSO Registration Application with all of the advisors and officers certificates attached
3. Returning Clubs must maintain their status by submitting a new Registration Application every semester by the posted deadline
4. New Clubs may submit a Registration Application at any time during the Spring and Fall semesters
After we process your Registration Application we will notify the officers and advisors of your club's registration status. Once your club is approved you may then submit applications for meetings, activities, events, etc. Please remember - ALL club meetings, activities, events, etc. must be approved by Student Life.
NOTE: ALL correspondence will be sent to your school email! Please check it frequently for information regarding your club, as well as other Alamo Colleges activities and events!
RSO Event Application - for meetings, activities, and events other than fundraising (1-3 weeks' notice required)
RSO Fundraising Application - for fundraising events only (1-3 weeks' notice required)
Student Activities Fee Application for Funding - to apply for funding from the Student Activities Fee account (1 months' notice required)
Agency Account Petty Cash Request - to withdraw funds from a student club account in advance, in order to use for a future purchase (two weeks' notice required)
Agency Account Reimbursement Request - to request reimbursement from a student club account for a purchase made using personal funds (must be submitted within two weeks of purchase date)

Meeting Sign-in Form - must be used for all club meetings and submitted to the RSO Coordinator at the end of each month
