Do I need a student ID?

The Student ID is highly recommended since different departments, activities, and services require them.  You can get your NVC Student ID at the Student Life Center which is located in the Cypress Campus Center next to the cafeteria.  The first ID is free, however, there is a $10 replacement charge if you lose it.  This can be paid at the Business office in the same building.

The Vending machine took my money. Can I get a refund?

Yes.  You can come visit the Student Life Center in Cypress Campus Center CCC-126 right next to the cafeteria.  Please let us know what building and machine # took your money.

Do you have a courtesy phone?

Yes, it is located in the Cypress Campus Center at the Welcome Center up front.

Where do I get my parking permit?

To obtain an Alamo Colleges Vehicle Registration Tag/Decal, a person must be in possession of a valid campus identification card and driver's license. Vehicle registration Tags/Decals may be purchased from the Business office located in the Cypress Campus Center.  The costs for 2012-2013 are:

Fall Semester (12 months) $50.00 

Spring Semester (8 months) $30.00 

Summer Sessions (4 months) $18.00 

Replacement Tag/Decal (lost or stolen) $10.00 

 

If I park at Seaworld and use the shuttle, do I still need a parking pass?

Yes. Please make sure to purchase this parking pass at the Business office located at the  Cypress Campus Center.

How do I get assistance with: unlocking my vehicle, battery boost, or air for a flat tire?

The Courtesy Patrol's main function for the Alamo Colleges is to provide assistance to stranded motorist on Alamo Colleges Property. As long as courtesy patrol is available, the following services will be provided

What can I do for personal safety at night when going to another building or my car?

At nighttime walk in the company of others. You can also call the Alamo Colleges Police Dispatcher at 210-485-0099 to meet you and follow you to your car. 

Where is the NVC lost and found?

You can go to the NVC Teaching & Learning Facilitation department (TLF) located in Mountain Laurel Hall Room 135 or call  210-486-4015.

Does the campus have wireless internet and how do I access it?
