Vet to Vet Advocates > Miguel

V2V Advocate: Miguel Munoz (In loving memory of our fellow veteran and friend)

Photo - Miguel MunozMiguel Munoz  was an Assistant Professor in Economics here at NVC.  He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, While serving in a tour from 1965-1966, he was wounded twice from combat related actions. Some of his citations include the Combat Infantry Badge, Silver Star, and 2 Purple Hearts. After returning from Vietnam he was stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg and at Ft. Benning for Ranger School. After leaving the Army, he was a Counselor with the Veterans Administration (VA). After leaving the VA, he transferred to the Department of Transportation (DoT) as a Special Agent in charge of investigating traffic accidents. Proceeding this, he moved over to the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB) and was an auditor, investigating Savings and Loans in and around San Antonio. Once he left the FHLBB he became an Owner/Operator with McDonald's owning 3 restaurants during his time with McDonald's.
