Homecoming 2012

Get involved in Northwest Vista College's first annual Homecoming celebration, called "Celebrate Vista" that kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 2 with pep rallies  and a basketball game between employees and students. 

The five-day celebration was created to build traditions, school pride and spirit that will engage alumni, faculty, staff and students. We hope everyone will get involved to celebrate the college with activities by student organizations, sports such as basketball, volleyball, 5k, golf, scholarship fundraising and music, art, and speakers, etc. Below is a rundown of all the events:

 "Celebrate Vista" -  Homecoming  2012 

Tues, Oct 2nd – Sat, Oct 6th  

  • Homecoming Employee office decorating contest  
  • Tuesday/Thursday Wear Purple Day  
  • Wacky Tacky Wednesday-Dress as wacky as possible  
  • Home Coming Basketball game employees vs students  
    • Tuesday, Oct 2, 3:30pm, HH gym   
      • Home Coming Kickoff Pep rally on the CCC patio @ 10:50am and @ 1:50pm outside in front of LOH 
      • NVC employees vs students basketball game 3:30pm, door prizes & t-shirt give away
         
  • Rock The Vote-Use Your Political Power-Register Today!!  
    • Tuesday, Oct 2, 11am – 3pm, Live Music & give aways, CCC Lakeside 
    • Voter Registration Table every day, 10am - 2pm, CCC
       
  •   Home Coming Volleyball game employees vs students 
    • Thursday, Oct 4, HH gym  
      • Pep rally on the CCC patio10:45am 
      • NVC employees vs students volleyball game, 3:30pm, door prizes & t-shirt give away 
         
  • Habitat for Humanity “Vista Volunteers”  
    • Friday, Oct 5, 7:30am – 3:30pm, Location TBA

  • Mexican American Studies Golf Tournament Scholarship fundraiser
