Learning Communities

Find us on Facebook: Learning Communities Facebook Page

The Learning Communities Program at Northwest Vista College is designed to offer you a unique college experience and help you develop dynamic skills needed for college success and graduation. Learning communities consist of at least two (2) courses that are linked or blocked together.  The courses are related to one another in some way, such that they share a common theme.  When you join a learning community you will enroll in both courses, which means you will have an opportunity to spend time with the same group of peers throughout the semester and develop a deeper understanding of course material.  This enables you to form new relationships and study groups with other students sharing your same experiences and coursework.

Learning communities are currently open to all students. You are highly encouraged to enroll in at least one learning community your first year, in order to develop a strong support network at the start of your college experience.  Become part of a "community of learners" by joining a learning community at Northwest Vista College today!
