Counseling at the Wellness Center is designed to promote holistic student health that is centered on helping you be the most successful student possible. Licensed Professional Counselors are available to assist with short –term mental health counseling. Services are free and confidential. Our licensed counselors assist students by addressing topics such as; substance use, relationship concerns, stress management/anxiety, personal counseling, goal-setting, and Depression.

The Student Wellness Center promotes wellness through education and awareness on current issues such as the dangers of drinking/texting while driving, the impact of long-term tobacco use, cancer, and students who are parents; just to name a few.

SOBI is our way of assuring Northwest Vista Campus is safe for all students to learn and grow. Our motto is....If you see something tell someone. No healthcare facilities (trained medical personnel, infirmary, or student health center) are available at Northwest Vista College and satellite campuses, centers, or sites. First aid supplies may be available in various administrative areas in each building. Students with health problems should consult their family physicians. Wellness Center Counselors will assist students without family physicians to identify health programs in the community for which they may qualify. Students must report health emergencies immediately to the Alamo Colleges Police Department to (210)222-0911. The Alamo Colleges Police Department will call for outside emergency services if necessary.
