This Web site is to assist all qualifying students attending this institution in using the educational benefits under Department of Veterans Affairs Educational Assistance Program.
Checklist for admission for VA benefits:
- Complete on line application to VA at www.gibill.va.gov
- Complete admission process for Northwest Vista College
- Register for classes
- Complete & submit “Request for Certification” form on NVC – VA webpage
- Submit copy of DD 214 & military transcript & transcripts from all colleges previously attended
- Students are welcome to meet with an advisor to insure that their classes fit into their degree plans and can be certified
- Students certifying under Chapters 30, 35, 1606, & 1607 must make payment arrangements prior to requesting certification
- If certifying under Chapter 33, must meet with an advisor to complete contract to satisfy payment requirements
- Chapter 31 students must have a current form 1905 on file with us
- Chapter 31 students can pick up their book & supplies vouchers 1 week prior to the start of classes
