Head Swim Coach

Nicol Schriner
It was at Palo Alto, in Dr. Dorthy Hacker's class, that Coach Nicol fell in love with philosophy. Fortunately, hours spent swimming in the PAC Natatorium gave Nicol the quiet time to mull over different ways people thought about "the good life." After attending UT Austin and getting her degree in philosophy, she spent the next fourteen years traveling, working as a social advocate, maintaining a small business, and swimming. Coach Nicol returned to Palo Alto to settle down and reinvest in the community that gave her so much. The goal: to help, in her own small way, to build generations of thoughtful, unstoppable champions.
