Communications Testimonials
The decision to start my college education at Palo Alto was the best decision of my journey. Having small classes made my experience more personable and made it an easy learning environment. The Communications program at Palo Alto made the transition from a community college to the university very easy. Taking the classes offered, such as Introduction to Mass Communications, News Gathering and Reporting, and Headlines, Layout and Editing, gave me a boost of confidence when faced with the Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation test, which is required in order to continue upper-division courses at the university. In order to get the best out of college, you have to have desire, discipline and, most importantly, pride. Take advantage of your professors' knowledge and use it to your advantage on your own journey through college, as well as life.

| Even though it sounds weird for me to say this, Palo Alto College is where my life changed forever. At Palo Alto College, I found the sport of fencing, my love for communication studies, and a ton of new friends and role models. I will never forget my career at Palo Alto College.

| My experience at Palo Alto prepared me well for Southwest Texas. The chance to write for "The Pulse" gave me invaluable experience as well as a good start for my portfolio. The communications classes at Palo Alto laid a foundation for me that I am continuing to build upon. The skills I gained at Palo Alto are skills I will need to be successful at Southwest Texas and the job market.

| To succeed in any area of life, education and business specifically, a solid foundation of knowledge, skill and self-confidence must be built. Palo Alto College (PAC) gave me a place to cultivate all three of these. Wherever my education education continues, wherever my career takes me, PAC gave me all I need to be a success in every aspect of my life. PAC offers a series of communication courses like no other college or university. The communication professors don't just teach these courses, they have first-hand knowledge and experience that only enhances what is found in the textbooks. Taking any of the communication courses at PAC gives you the upper hand over other communication students and in any other communication courses. My advice to current PAC students is to be proud of your school and take advantage of everything it has to offer. This growing community college can give you the edge you need to be more successful at any other college or university and in any profession you choose.

| Palo Alto did prepare me for the college atmosphere, but not the university atmosphere. Dorm life is way different!! You're on your own with too much liberty, and your grades start choking. My communications courses at Palo Alto did prepare me enough to know that this is what I decided to major in. Palo Alto communication courses introduced me to the e-media world, and now at UNI I'm touring the e-media world to make it my own. I encourage all students to further their education beyond the average two years of community college because this is when you start to grow up. I had no idea I was such a baby until I made the decision to further my education, to go the extra mile without Mom or Dad pushing me through.

| I enjoyed my first two years of college at Palo Alto. I felt welcomed and at home no matter where I went on campus. My fears of college were put to rest once I quickly became adjusted to Palo Alto College. I found every one of my Mass Communication classes very helpful in my pursuit for a degree in that area.
I'm now attending Southwest Texas State University, and it's completely different from Palo Alto. I'm not as close to the professors here as I was at Palo Alto. The classes are difficult, but rewarding. I truly miss the Palo Alto atmosphere, but SWT is starting to grow on me.
I'm glad I started at Palo Alto College for my basics. It's amazing how many students try two-year colleges before going to a university. I can't imagine why anyone would pay so much money for a class that they could easily get the same credit for at a school like Palo Alto. My advice to anyone seeking a degree would be to take advantage of the quality education you can receive at Palo Alto. After that, nothing comes cheap.
