Lanette Garza, Cristina Aldrete
named PAC Directors
Palo Alto College President Dr. Ana M. "Cha" Guzmán has announced two key appointments at the southside college, which is one of the Alamo Colleges.
Lanette Garza was recently promoted to Director of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness. Cristina Aldrete has been named Director of Institutional Advancement, Planning and Development.
Garza joined PAC in April 2009 and has served as Research Specialist and Grants Coordinator until her appointment. Prior to joining the college, she was editorial assistant of the American Journal of Chinese Studies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from Widener University in Chester, Pa. She holds an M.A. in Political Science from UTSA and a Master of Library Science from Texas Woman’s University.
Aldrete most recently was Vice President of Aldrete Communications, a corporate communications and government affairs firm she founded with her husband, Eddie Aldrete, with offices in Austin and San Antonio. Before starting her own business, she was Deputy Director of Tourism for the Texas Department of Commerce. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UT-Austin.
