STEP 1:
APPLY |
- Complete and submit your admission application: www.ApplyTexas.org
- In order to complete the ApplyTexas application, you will need a valid email address. If you are considering applying for Financial Aid, your Social Security number will be required.
- An active application is required to move forward with the enrollment process.
- In four business days after submitting the application, log in to your Alamo Colleges Education Services (ACES) account to view the "Start Here" tab for next steps and your required modules at aces.alamo.edu.

STEP 2:
SUBMIT TRANSCRIPT(S) to Admissions and Records |
- First time in college students (FTIC) must submit an official high school transcript or official GED test scores.
- Official high school transcript must be sealed or sent electronically by the school.
- Must submit a final official transcript that includes the high school graduation date to the Admissions and Records office.

STEP 3:

- Learn how to be successful in college and about your responsibilities as an Alamo Colleges' student.

STEP 5:
COMPLETE MODULE: Assessment Information (Access through"Start Here" tab in ACES) |
- Reminder: Be sure to submit your official transcript, SAT, ACT or TAKS scores for evaluation. If you are exempt from testing based on submitted scores, you will not have to take an assessment test.

STEP 6:
COMPLETE MODULE: Test Prep (Access through "Start Here" tab in ACES) |
- Complete this module in preparation for your assessment test.

STEP 7:
TAKE THE ASSESSMENT TEST
(IF APPLICABLE) |
- Information on the placement exam is available at www.alamo.edu/pac/testing-center/.
- Test scores for SAT and ACT cannot be older than 5 years
- Exit Level TAKS, Accuplacer, Asset, and THEA cannot be older than 3 years

STEP 8:
SUBMIT BACTERIAL MENINGITIS VACCINATION VERIFICATION FORM TO ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS |
- Texas state law requires that entering students show evidence of receiving a bacterial meningitis vaccination or booster dose during the five year period prior to enrollment.
- The law allows a few/some exceptions.
- You may obtain additional information at alamo.edu/meningitis
- Submit form with valid ID to Admissions and Records
- Does not prevent you from completing next steps but required for registration

STEP 9:
REGISTER FOR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION (NSO) |
- Students must sign up for on-campus New Student Orientation to receive information about valuable campus resources and register for courses!
- The above eight steps MUST be completed prior to registering for New Student Orientation.
- Students may register for New Student Orientation by visiting the Welcome Advising Center (PC 103) or calling 210-486-3100.
- After the above eight steps are reviewed and confirmed by a staff member, students will be registered for the New Student Orientation (NSO).

STEP 10:
PAY TUITION & FEES |
- Tuition bills will not be mailed.
- Account summary can be viewed through ACES (Student Tab>Student Account)
- Tuition payment must be made via credit card or check via your ACES account.
- Payment in full or by installments must be made by the payment deadlines or you will be dropped from your classes.

STEP 11:
PARKING, TRANSPORTATION, AND STUDENT ID |
VIA BusPasses:
- VIA bus passes are available for students during the Fall and Spring semesters for $35.00. A VALID COLLEGE STUDENT PICTURE ID is required. VIA Bus Passes may be purchased on-campus at the Business Office. Continuing Education students must contact the VIA Metropolitan office to obtain a bus pass.
Parking Permits:
- Parking Permits may be purchased duringon-campus registration or at the Business Office throughout the semester. Students and employees are eligible to purchase a Parking Decal/Tag.Exceptions are authorized through the President's Office (Article IV of theParking and Traffic Rules and Regulations).
- Parking decals will be $50.00 per vehicle. With three or more vehicles, proof of car insurance is required.
- A Vehicle Registration Form must be completed and the full tuition payment must be paid, prior to receiving a parking permit. Note: License plate number is required on the Vehicle Registration Form.
- Each student parking on the campus must have a parking permit.
Student ID:
- Contact the Testing Center to obtain your new student ID once your tuition bill has been paid.
