What is the new address?

 

 SAC's new address is 1819 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, TX 78212-3941.

This address is approximately located at the entrance of Main and Locust, on the East side of the campus.

Is the 1300 San Pedro Ave. address still in use?

 

The new address is effective immediately.  However, the post office gives us one calendar year to fully transition to the new address.

When should we begin using the new address?

 

 SAC has already begun using the new address.

All printed and electronic material should be transitioned to the new address no later than March 23, 2016.

What will happen to mail sent to the old address after March 24, 2016?

 

 To ensure receipt, all mail should be addressed to 1819 N. Main Ave.

All mail addressed to 1300 San Pedro will run the risk of not being delivered.

Why did SAC's address change?

 

SAC changed the official College address for several prominent reasons.

Most importantly, it is vital that SAC's main address is easily accessible to visitors, guests and prospective students coming to San Antonio College.  GPS directions for the old address directed visitors to the College's monument sign, which caused confusion because the address is not for a building, nor does it have a driveway or parking area.

In addition, the decision to change the mailing address is in line with the College's overall "Master Plan", which encompasses creating a main entrance off of Main Ave., in front of Moody Learning Center.

Furthermore, the change made sense because of the addition of the Tino & Millie Duran Welcome Center.  The Duran Welcome Center (DWC) is located in the Tobin Lofts complex on 1415 N. Main.

What should employees do with letterhead, business cards, envelopes, etc. with the old address?

 

 All materials should be updated no later than March 23, 2016.

In the meantime, employees are expected to use good judgment in using remaining documents and stationary, and should consider recycling old documents when the time comes.

Will this change affect our billing address?

 

 No, the District's official billing address will remain 811 W. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78207-3033.

However, all deliveries should still be sent to the College's main address 1819 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, TX 78212-3941.

Until further notice, the billing address for all procurement cards (P-Cards) will remain as 201 W. Sheridan, San Antonio, TX 78204-1429.
